How it works
We convert your distance and efficiency to a common fuel-volume figure, then multiply by fuel price. Efficiency units are converted internally (e.g. L/100km ↔ km/L ↔ MPG) before calculating fuel needed for the trip.
Example
A 400 km trip at 7.5 L/100km uses 30 liters. At 1.65 per liter, that's about 49.50 for the trip.
Assumptions & limitations
This is a straight-line estimate and doesn't account for traffic, terrain, driving style, or fuel price changes along a route. Fuel prices vary widely by country, region and station — enter your local price.
Frequently asked questions
Can I use miles and MPG?
Yes — choose your preferred distance and efficiency units; the calculator converts between them automatically.
Does this include tolls or other trip costs?
No, this estimates fuel cost only.
